Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive technical solutions that address business challenges and align with organizational objectives.
  • Create architecture designs, system diagrams, and technical documentation outlining the structure, components, and integration points of the solution.
  • Select the appropriate technology stack, considering project constraints, performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Clearly communicate technical solutions and their impact to stakeholders, including business and technical teams.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks within the solution design, such as scalability challenges, security vulnerabilities, and integration issues.
  • Perform performance analysis on implemented solutions and identify areas for optimization.
  • Document best practices and share knowledge with other team members.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges related to the solution.
  • Oversee the solution's lifecycle, including implementation, maintenance, and enhancement.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to relevant standards, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Work closely with various teams, including Technical Project Managers, Engineers, and Scrum masters, to ensure successful solution delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in relevant programming languages, software development principles, and a proven track record of leading large-scale architectural initiatives.
  • Experience in building and leading high-performing architect teams is preferred.
  • Makes independent decisions on complex architectural challenges, solution design, and long-term technical vision within their area of expertise.
  • Significantly influences strategic architectural decisions for the organization.
  • Escalates major strategic decisions or significant technical challenges to senior leadership.

Pay

The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role. Salary Range $150,000 - $180,000.
