Solutions Architect - Data Governance
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Solutions Architect - Data Governance to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space. This role will shape enterprise data governance strategies for client organizations, translating business and regulatory needs into scalable frameworks that improve control, visibility, and stewardship across data environments. The position will partner closely with executive stakeholders, governance councils, and customer teams to design practical solutions that support metadata management, lineage, and monitoring. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on experience implementing modern governance capabilities within cloud and enterprise data platforms, along with a consulting mindset and strong advisory skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic data governance initiatives for enterprise clients
- Design and architect governance frameworks, including metadata management processes
- Oversee implementation of data governance capabilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders and governance councils
- Translate regulatory and business requirements into scalable governance solutions
- Develop governance monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise data governance solutions
- Hands-on implementation experience with Microsoft Purview, including Unified Catalog and data lineage
- Proven experience establishing data stewardship programs with accountability frameworks
- Experience leading customer-facing consulting engagements and workshops
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Services
Pay
$140,000 – $225,000 annually
