About the role

Join our team as a Solutions Architect (SA) and help accelerate our growing U.S. Defense Department business within the World Wide Public Sector practice. In this role, you will support US Navy, Marine Corps, and other Department of Defense customers by implementing innovative cloud computing solutions and solving technical problems using the latest AWS technologies. You will help these groups understand application architectures and integration approaches, leveraging generative AI to address customer challenges and deliver proof-of-concepts (POCs) in their environments.

Your responsibilities will include owning technical engagements, defining implementation architectures, developing deep expertise in AWS technologies, and serving as a subject matter expert on security and related technologies. You will collaborate with a sales and business development team to shape cloud computing strategies for Defense markets, capture and share best practices, and work alongside some of the brightest technical minds in enterprise architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical engagement and success of specific implementation projects for Defense Department customers.
  • Define implementation architectures and develop expertise in AWS technologies (e.g., Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, Amazon S3, Amazon EC2, AWS Lambda).
  • Act as a subject matter expert on security and other technologies related to customer applications and services.
  • Provide technical design guidance and demonstrate sensitivity to customer needs in Defense markets.
  • Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solution architect community.
  • Experiment, build, and demonstrate technology solutions using the latest AI technologies to expedite delivery and improve quality.
  • Engage in deep-dive technical discussions around design and stay current with technical skills and industry trends.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting for applications and infrastructures.
  • 4+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
  • 3+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.
  • US Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting.
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.
  • Executive speaking and presentation skills, including whiteboard and group presentations.
  • Experience with AI/GenAI, software development, web applications, DevOps/DevSecOps, data architectures, analytics, or networking.
  • Operational experience in web services management, security, and site operations.
  • Advisory or consulting experience with Defense Department customers.
  • Knowledge of RFP/acquisition support, technical architecture, market trends, and cost-benefit analysis.

Pay

Base salary range:

  • USA, VA, Arlington: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually.
  • USA, VA, Herndon: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually.
