Solutions Architect

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead DevOps Engineer / Cloud Solution Architect with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and modern cloud-native technologies. This is a hands-on technical leadership role that combines solution design with direct implementation. The individual will design secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions; build critical platform components and automation; and lead engineers through delivery and production support.

Responsibilities

• Build critical platform components and automation.
• Lead engineers through delivery and production support.
• Translate business and nonfunctional requirements into implementable solution designs.
• Validate decisions through prototypes and hands-on engineering.
• Develop reusable patterns.
• Review technical deliverables.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues.
• Partner with application, data, security, architecture, and operations teams to ensure solutions meet security, compliance, reliability, performance, operational, and cost objectives.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or SRE, with substantial hands‑on leadership experience.
• Deep GCP expertise: multi‑project landing zones, Shared VPC, PSC, Serverless VPC Access, IAM, Workload Identity, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions.
• Data & analytics support: hands‑on experience with Dataproc, Dataform, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery.
• Tooling & IaC: advanced experience with Jenkins, GitHub, GitOps, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Scripting: strong, production‑ready Python and Bash scripting skills.
• Hands‑on mindset: strong desire and ability to build, test, troubleshoot, and support critical solutions directly.
• Solid working experience with AWS architecture (IAM, VPC, EKS, Lambda).
• Preferred: hands‑on experience with Vertex AI, Gemini Agent Platform, and GenAI operationalization.
• Knowledge of the Google Cloud Well‑Architected Framework.
• Certifications: GCP Professional Cloud Architect (strongly preferred); GCP Professional Cloud DevOps, Cloud Security, or Cloud Network Engineer; Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS).
• Secondary experience with Microsoft Azure architecture is a plus.
