What You'll Do
- Partner with the sales team to understand client needs and translate business requirements into technical solutions that showcase Kira's value.
- Lead the technical discovery process with prospective clients, analyzing their existing systems (e.g., LMS, SIS, rostering tools) and designing tailored solutions for integration.
- Support sales presentations and demonstrations by articulating the technical aspects of Kira's platform to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including educators and administrators.
- Develop and present high-level architectural designs and detailed technical proposals that align with clients' objectives and technical environments.
- Serve as a technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, helping prospects evaluate Kira's platform within their broader technical ecosystem.
- Lead technical proof-of-concepts and pilot implementations, ensuring smooth handoffs between Sales, Implementation, and Engineering teams.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to relay customer feedback and ensure that our offerings align with market needs.
- Create clear technical documentation, including integration guides, architecture diagrams, and implementation playbooks.
- Drive repeatable processes and best practices for scaling implementations across districts.
- Maintain expertise in educational technology, data systems integration, and security standards.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to sales team members to enhance their ability to position Kira's solutions.
What We're Looking For
- 5–8+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect or in a similar technical pre-sales role (SaaS or EdTech preferred).
- Proven experience supporting enterprise-level sales processes, including technical discovery, presentations, and proposal creation.
- Strong technical fluency: comfortable discussing APIs, system architecture, data flows, and integration patterns.
- Strong knowledge of educational technology systems, including integration with SIS, LMS, and other district-level platforms.
- Experience working with REST APIs, data pipelines, and cloud-based systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset in designing client-focused technical solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements, working both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
- Passion for education and using technology to drive positive outcomes for students.
- Low-ego collaborator who values clarity, ownership, and speed.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, resource-constrained startup environment.
Nice-To-Haves
- Experience integrating with LMS/SIS platforms (e.g., Canvas, Clever, ClassLink).
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or experience working with AI-driven products.
- Experience with K-12 educational technology or pre-sales activities in SaaS or EdTech.
