About the role

The Solution Domain Expert for iPaaS & Integration role is within Boomi, the data activation company for AI. This role supports strategic deals, brings deep iPaaS expertise to critical opportunities, and works alongside peers leading API Management and Data Management.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sales Support:
    • Lead discovery sessions and executive labs for high-value iPaaS opportunities.
    • Partner with Account Executives (AEs) and Sales Engineers (SEs) to shift deals towards platform-led strategies, integrating iPaaS with the broader Boomi Enterprise Platform narrative.
    • Support Request for Proposals (RFP)/Request for Information (RFI) responses and account planning with domain authority and tailored integration narratives.
  • Sales Play Execution:
    • Define and deliver 1-2 iPaaS sales plays per quarter across Demand Gen, Attach, and Expand motions.
    • Create play assets with Product Marketing Managers (PMMs) and Field Engineers, including talk tracks, demo kits, solution briefs, battle cards, and Highspot digital sales rooms.
    • Track play performance against pipeline and attach rate targets.
  • Field Enablement:
    • Coach Sales, SEs, and Field Engineers on iPaaS positioning and how to win against competitors like MuleSoft, Workato, Informatica, SnapLogic, and Azure Integration Services.
    • Lead customer and partner workshops, executive briefings, and strategic account sessions.
    • Represent Boomi at industry events and analyst engagements.
  • Market Intelligence:
    • Feed customer insights and competitive signals back to PMMs and Product to shape the roadmap.
    • Track integration market trends, including Agentic AI and hybrid integration, and equip the field to respond.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in iPaaS, integration, or related field in Pre-Sales, Solutions Consulting, or Sales Engineering roles.
  • Strong knowledge of the integration market, including key players, buying personas, and enterprise pain points (such as app sprawl, data silos, B2B complexity, hybrid connectivity).
  • Hands-on experience with integration architectures, connector ecosystems, B2B/EDI, MFT, and API-led integration.
  • Proven ability to build and execute sales plays end-to-end, including ICP definition, messaging, asset creation, and enablement.
  • Confident communicator, equally effective with platform architects and C-level buyers.
  • Self-directed and comfortable operating across a distributed global team.

Bonus Points

  • Hands-on experience with the Boomi platform and familiarity with multi-product selling across Integration, API Management, and Data Management.
  • Experience in APAC or NA markets with knowledge of regional buying behavior and partner ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with Agentic AI and how integration platforms underpin AI agent connectivity.
  • Boomi Professional, MuleSoft Certified, or equivalent iPaaS certification.
