Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Domain Architect to leverage their expertise in virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), cloud networking, and platform integration to shape innovative digital workplaces for large-scale clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and deployment of enterprise VDI platforms including Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Omnissa Horizon, and Citrix DaaS/CVAD, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
- Design and implement comprehensive policies and configurations for Microsoft Intune, Workspace ONE, and Apple Business Manager, including device enrollment, app management, and integration with Entra ID.
- Develop and optimize virtual networking, routing, and compute strategies within Azure and AWS environments, aligning with client needs and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with consulting and professional services teams to deliver high-quality solutions while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Evaluate and recommend cloud landing zone configurations, ensuring seamless integration of identity, network, and compute components for VDI workloads.
- Drive automation initiatives using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or PowerShell DSC to streamline environment provisioning and remediation.
- Liaise with stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver solution workshops, develop technical briefs, and contribute to statements of work (SOW).
- Stay abreast of evolving industry standards and emerging technologies to continually enhance architecture strategies.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of experience in enterprise IT architecture or engineering, with a focus on end-user computing and VDI deployment and management.
- Proven hands-on experience deploying and managing at least two of the following platforms: Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Omnissa Horizon, or Citrix DaaS/CVAD.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Intune, Workspace ONE, and Apple Business Manager, including device policies, enrollment, app management, and Entra ID integration.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts applicable to VDI, including virtual networking, routing, identity boundaries, and compute placement within Azure and AWS.
- Experience in consulting, professional services, or systems integration environments, emphasizing delivery quality and stakeholder engagement.
- Solid understanding of large enterprise environments (10,000+ seats) and project governance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with pre-sales activities such as workshops, solution briefs, and SOW development.
- Knowledge of F5 BIG-IP or similar load balancing platforms in VDI architectures.
- Exposure to regulated industries like financial services or healthcare, understanding compliance constraints affecting end-user computing.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell DSC) for automating VDI builds and configurations.
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project methodologies and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102), Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty (AZ-140), Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305), VMware EUC certifications, Zscaler Certified Cloud Administrator, or AWS Solutions Architect – Associate.
Publishing Pay Range
Publishing Pay Range: $90.00 – $100.00 hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from any approved location within the United States.
