About the role
The Solution Consultant will play a key role in helping insurance organizations adopt innovative technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and business outcomes. This position combines technical expertise, industry knowledge, and consultative skills to support complex sales engagements.
Responsibilities
- Support pre-sales activities by translating customer requirements into effective technology solutions.
- Collaborate with sales teams, technical stakeholders, and prospective customers to demonstrate how solutions can address business challenges and create measurable impact.
- Lead operational and technical discovery sessions with prospective customers to understand business objectives, challenges, architecture environments, data flows, and integration requirements.
- Partner with sales teams to develop strategic solution approaches and demonstrate how technology capabilities align with customer goals.
- Deliver technical demonstrations and proof-of-concept engagements for executive stakeholders, IT leaders, architects, and operational teams.
- Configure and execute proof-of-concepts using tools such as REST APIs, webhooks, Postman, and Python-based data scripting.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Develop technical documentation, responses to RFIs/RFPs, and presentation materials that communicate solution capabilities effectively.
- Analyze customer environments and recommend approaches that improve efficiency, reduce costs, or increase operational performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth transitions from sales activities into implementation and ongoing customer success.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, AI capabilities, competitive landscapes, and evolving integration standards.
Requirements
- Combine insurance industry expertise, technical understanding, and strong communication skills to successfully guide customers through complex technology decisions.
- Experience working with enterprise solutions, customer-facing engagements, and modern technology platforms.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and data scripting.
- Strong understanding of insurance carrier environments, including core systems such as rating, billing, distribution, and data platforms.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to architects, IT leaders, executives, and business stakeholders.
- Strong presentation, documentation, and storytelling abilities.
- Experience leading discovery sessions, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in insurance and/or technology.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically, with limited international travel opportunities.
