About the Role
Assess and apply new solution designs against defined architecture strategies, principles, policies, and standards in alignment with enterprise architecture strategies. Define new architecture solutions where needs are identified. Manage the process to identify, assess, and prioritize issues and risks, and drive actions to minimize, monitor, and control risks to maximize positive outcomes.
Define complex application and solution designs for specific systems in coordination with project teams. Develop architecture deliverables, artifacts, and building blocks using an architecture development framework and methodology to enable controlled system transformation in response to business needs.
Perform functional allocation to system components, establish interfaces between systems, and compose/decompose systems using Solution Functional Fit analysis to ensure components interact holistically to meet business requirements. Develop reusable standards, design patterns, and configurations for other solutions.
Utilize data analysis tools for extraction, modeling, communication, and management to deliver reporting and dashboard solutions. Collaborate with project and product teams to understand requested capabilities and provide compliant solutions. Perform cost/benefit analysis for future state capabilities and audit solution designs for compliance with architectural patterns and standards.
Monitor architecture solution performance and prevent performance issues when introducing new capabilities. Create System Solution Architecture designs using CLEAN standards and existing reference patterns to maintain alignment with Cummins standards. Identify and implement improvements and cost reduction opportunities in IT processes and projects using Agile software development and DevSecOps knowledge.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including functional excellence teams, to apply strategy to future state architecture.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Information Systems or Technology, Data or Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience as an IT Analyst, Software Engineer, Software Developer, or Architect; or
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Technology, Data or Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience in the same roles.

Pay
Annual USD Salary Minimum – Maximum: $145,018 – $154,800
