Solution Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Solution Architect - ServiceNow to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, custom integrations, data transformation, ITSM processes, and enterprise service mapping.

Responsibilities

• ServiceNow Solution Architecture
  • Define and own end-to-end ServiceNow architecture and technical design.
  • Lead platform strategy, roadmap planning, and governance activities.
  • Design scalable, secure, and maintainable ServiceNow solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development and implementation teams.
• CMDB & Discovery
  • Design, implement, and optimize ServiceNow CMDB architecture.
  • Lead ServiceNow Discovery deployments across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Establish CMDB governance, reconciliation rules, identification rules, and data quality frameworks.
  • Ensure accurate population and maintenance of Configuration Items (CIs) and their relationships.
  • Drive Service Mapping and dependency mapping initiatives.
• Enterprise Dependency Mapping
  • Analyze and document business service dependencies across applications, infrastructure, databases, middleware, cloud, and network components.
  • Design solutions for service dependency visualization and impact analysis.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to establish end-to-end service views.
  • Support operational resilience and root cause analysis initiatives through accurate dependency models.
• Integrations & Data Transformation
  • Architect and implement complex custom integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems.
  • Design integrations using REST, SOAP APIs, MID Server, Integration Hub, JDBC, LDAP, and other enterprise technologies.
  • Define data migration and transformation strategies for onboarding external data sources.
  • Ensure data consistency, integrity, and governance across integrated platforms.
  • Lead troubleshooting and optimization of integration performance.
• ITSM Process Excellence
  • Implement and optimize ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, and Service Catalog management.
  • Align ServiceNow solutions with ITIL best practices.
  • Identify automation opportunities to improve service operations and reduce manual effort.
• Infrastructure & Domain Knowledge
  • Work closely with infrastructure teams to understand DNS architecture, domain management, Active Directory, Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and network devices.
  • Utilize infrastructure knowledge to improve discovery coverage and CMDB accuracy.

Requirements

• Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related technical field; master’s degree preferred.
• Experience
  • 10+ years of overall IT experience.
  • 5+ years of ServiceNow architecture and implementation experience.
  • Hands-on expertise in ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB.
  • Experience designing enterprise-level Service Mapping and dependency models.
  • Proven experience with complex custom integrations and data migration projects.
