About the Role

Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As an experienced cloud computing infrastructure architect, you’ll oversee a team of experienced professionals and use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to guide clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. You’ll collaborate closely with fellow cloud architects and engineers specializing in Office 365, Azure, AWS, and GCP to design, define, develop, test, and debug cloud solution components.

You’ll have the chance to broaden your experience within a DevOps framework to create and manage container apps and use products like Kubernetes to further the mission. With access to internal Azure, AWS, and GCP labs, you’ll explore different ways of solving clients’ problems and partner with stakeholders to deliver the right technical solutions. Whether modernizing legacy platforms or building new ones, you’ll work with the latest technology and a team of bright teammates.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience designing and owning implementation of cloud infrastructure in enterprise or mission environments, including networking, identity, compute, and storage
  • Experience with enterprise virtualization, distributed infrastructure, and data platform architecture, including environments operating under degraded connectivity, air-gap, or multi-tenant constraints
  • Experience with large-scale log management, security monitoring, or SIEM platform architecture, including designing from scratch, consolidating existing tooling, or migrating between platforms
  • Experience with DevOps practices and automation, including containerization, orchestration, and CI/CD pipeline design, even in restricted or classified environments where standard toolchains don’t apply out of the box
  • Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into engineering workflows or production environments, including surfacing LLM-backed tooling to extend team capabilities
  • Ability to make sound architectural decisions in challenging environments, such as restricted toolchains, contested network conditions, imposed timelines, or shifting requirements
  • Ability to rapidly develop working knowledge of unfamiliar technologies and lead others through implementation
  • Ability to architect under ambiguity, own outcomes alongside engineers, and communicate decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice to Have

  • Experience working across multiple cloud providers or classification levels on the same program, including navigating platform translations
  • Experience on a large defense program or with a major systems integrator, delivering under bureaucratic friction without losing technical momentum
  • Experience supporting DoD installations or integrating with mission or C2 systems across NIPR, SIPR, or coalition networks, including inherited or undocumented environments
  • Experience building agentic workflows, automation pipelines, or custom tooling that meaningfully changed team output
  • Experience in a technical lead or principal role accountable for both architecture and delivery
  • Experience operating on a tiger team, rapid response unit, or equivalent, delivering under compressed timelines
  • Top Secret clearance
  • AWS Certification
