About the role
Teledyne Cable Solutions is seeking a Solder Assembly Technician to join their team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong manual dexterity and attention to detail for small-part soldering, prior hand soldering experience, and 5+ years of electro-mechanical assembly experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform fine hand soldering of connectors, splices, sockets, and cable assemblies using magnification
- Build assemblies by following production drawings, work instructions, and bills of material
- Apply accepted workmanship standards across electro-mechanical assemblies
- Use hand and power tools to fit, assemble, and prepare components
- Inspect assemblies and perform basic in-process testing to verify quality
- Trim or adjust materials to meet required electrical and dimensional specifications
- Handle any flammable and hazardous materials safely and in compliance with safety requirements
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment
- Support cross-training across different assembly processes as needed
Requirements
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail for small-part soldering – required
- Ability to read and follow detailed drawings and written/verbal instructions – required
- Prior hand soldering experience; required wire and cable soldering – preferred
- 5+ years of electro-mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment – required
- J-STD-001 certification (current or prior) required
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification (current or prior) – preferred
- High School diploma or GED – required
- Ability to work the core schedule of 6:00am–2:45pm, Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed – required
- English language proficiency for safety, quality documentation, and communication – required

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The core schedule is 6:00am–2:45pm, Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed.
