About the role
The Sales Support Specialist provides day-to-day operational support to the sales team, helping ensure a smooth process from initial customer engagement through project progression. This role serves as a key point of contact for internal sales representatives, assisting with questions, troubleshooting issues, coordinating project updates, and helping projects move efficiently through the solar pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Provide real-time support to sales representatives through phone, chat, email, and internal communication channels
- Assist with general sales inquiries and help resolve questions related to project status, documentation, and next steps
- Support the preparation and completion of change orders and other project-related updates
- Troubleshoot issues alongside sales representatives and operational teams
- Maintain organization and consistency within internal systems and processes
- Review project documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Maintain a general understanding of the solar project lifecycle and how projects progress through each stage
- Escalate issues when necessary to ensure timely resolution
Requirements
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Able to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment
- Professional customer service and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable supporting teams through chat, email, phone, and other communication tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Experience with CRM platforms and project tracking systems preferred
- Previous experience in sales support, customer service, project coordination, or administrative support preferred
