Solar Photovoltaic Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Installs solar panels on roofs and other structures.
• Assists in troubleshooting AC & DC electrical systems, identify faults, and determine equipment status.
• Configures PV systems based on site conditions and customers’ needs and expectations.
• Follows building standards and codes when making repairs, processes RMA's with the manufacturer.
• Ensures that equipment is weather-sealed.
• Performs routine maintenance on PV systems, cleans modules, and inverters.
• Communicates in a professional manner with clients and handles frustrated clients.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of PV equipment and battery equipment installation.
• Basic understanding of troubleshooting and commissioning battery systems.
• Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read building plans.
• Ability to use hand and power tools to install PV panels and battery components.
• Basic understanding of the functions and use of a Volt-Ohm meter.
• Basic Understanding of Electrical Code and Conductor Ampacity.
