Solar Maintenance Technician, Residential Energy Service

The Solar Maintenance Technician is an essential part of Tesla’s Field Energy Operations team. Employees working in this role lead the drive towards accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy by installing and servicing Tesla’s solar products.

What You'll Do

• Serving as a key member of the crew, supporting the Crew Lead and Electrician in the servicing and maintenance of Tesla’s solar products.
• Attending weekly team meetings and mandatory training sessions on new products, best service practices, and standard workmanship guidelines.
• Ensuring compliance with building standards and codes during the installation and servicing of panels and support structures.
• Performing routine maintenance on energy systems and managing time and tasks effectively with a sense of urgency.
• Providing an exceptional customer experience to all customers.

What You'll Bring

• Experience in roof work, general construction, or carpentry is preferred.
• Ability to safely handle power tools, hand tools, and materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attendance is essential for the team to achieve success.
• Mandatory travel is required, with the possibility of traveling up to 2 weeks at a time, several times a year to various locations within the US.
• Ability to work at great heights, in extreme environments, perform prolonged periods of repetitive duties, and lift at least 50 pounds frequently.
• Valid driver's license required.
