Solar Installer - Roofing & Construction Experience Preferred

The Role

Current Electric is seeking motivated, hardworking individuals to join our growing Solar Division. Candidates with experience in roofing, construction, remodeling, carpentry, framing, or other skilled trades are strongly encouraged to apply. Solar experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside an experienced team to install residential and commercial solar energy systems safely, efficiently, and according to design specifications.
• Contribute to all aspects of rooftop solar installations, including material handling, system layout, mounting equipment, structural modifications, and final system assembly.
• Deliver high-quality installations that exceed customer expectations while maintaining Current Electric's commitment to safety, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Roofing experience strongly preferred
• Minimum one year of construction, remodeling, carpentry, framing, roofing, or related trade experience preferred
• Solar installation experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to work safely at heights and on rooftops
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
• Experience operating lifts or other construction equipment is beneficial
• Basic understanding of construction plans, measurements, and layout techniques preferred
• Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
