Solar HVAC Technician (Operations and Maintenance)

Core Responsibilities

• Maintaining commercial cooling package units on O&M sites – diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing and replacing components of entire HVAC units.
• Carrying out performance checks and regular HVAC maintenance.
• Performing additional maintenance or upgrades to out-of-season HVAC equipment.
• Responding to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call out services.
• Timely and accurate completion of daily work reports.
• Operating and maintaining a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.

Core Experience

• Must be Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified (Required).
• 2+ years of experience with HVAC maintenance (commercial preferred).
• Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email.

Physical/Work Environment

• Candidates should reside in the Mojave, California area.
• Travel for work may be required, especially during busy summer months.
• Driving to remote work sites as needed.
• Be exposed to ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
• Lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds).
• Compliance with FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA Regulations.

Compensation

Compensation: $25.00-$30.00 hourly/DOE

Pay Range

Base Pay Range: $25 - $30 USD
