Solar HVAC Technician (Operations and Maintenance)
Pearce is seeking experienced Solar HVAC Technicians to join our team for servicing and repairing HVAC package units on Renewable Energy Sites. This is a fast-paced and rewarding job that is best suited for individuals who are responsible, self-directed, highly motivated, willing to travel, and looking to learn and grow in the Renewables industry.
About the Role
This position is initially local but candidates should reside in the Mojave, California area.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintaining commercial cooling package units on O&M sites – diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing and replacing components of entire HVAC units.
- Conducting performance checks and regular HVAC maintenance.
- Performing additional maintenance or upgrades to out-of-season HVAC equipment.
- Responding to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call out services.
- Timely and accurate completion of daily work reports.
- Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.

Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.
Core Experience
- Must be Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified (Required).
- 2+ years of experience with HVAC maintenance (commercial preferred).
- Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email.
Physical/Work Environment
- Candidates must be able to comply with OSHA Standards.
- Candidates should reside in the Mojave, California area.
- Travel for work may be required, especially during busy summer months.
- Driving to remote work sites as needed.
- Be exposed to ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
- Lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds).
- Compliance with FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA Regulations.
Compensation
Your compensation will be determined based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
