Solar Electrical General Foreman - Spanish Moss

Summary

Mortenson is seeking an Electrical General Foreman responsible for overseeing maintenance and installation of electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide shift supervision for the assembly/manufacturing team members
• Lead production team members with an intense focus on safety and quality while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as internal company policies
• Develop work instructions and cross-training plans
• Provide on-the-job training and lead by example
• Drive continuous improvement of plant key performance indicators (Safety, Quality, Customer Service, Cost)
• Adjust schedules and workload balance as required by the operation
• Maintain supply inventory levels and coordinate reorders
• Utilize lean methodologies and tools to achieve production goals
• Take ownership of functions and be responsible for the facility

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum five years of related experience
• Trade or technical school certification/diploma
• Project specific/Mortenson training
• Current driver’s license
• Ability to speak and understand English (Spanish is a plus); shown emotional intelligence; ability to operate various equipment
• Strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, professional customer service skills, detail orientation, active listening skills, and effective communication
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
