Solar Designer
Responsibilities
- Utilize AutoCAD to generate solar blueprints adhering to jurisdictional and utility requirements, as well as the requirements of either Enfin or Lightreach.
- Become a subject matter expert on the Qcells Q.Home battery system, Q home modules, and their pairings with other product offerings for residential applications.
- Identify factors affecting the scope of work, including project cost and installation complexity.
- Collaborate with regional constructional managers to establish rapport and maintain direct communication between engineering and field operations.
- Work with sales organizations to overcome roadblocks and improve the efficiency of future sales.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with a minimum of 5-8+ years of experience in an engineering role, including 3-5 years’ experience in solar system design and engineering.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of NEC and CRC codes.
- Experience with permitting processes with local authorities having jurisdiction.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Ability to exercise strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Detailed, analytical thinker with the ability to recruit and lead quantitative talent.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present credit management, vision, and strategy in internal and external forums.

Qualifications
