About the role
Conservation Project Manager: We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team and take the lead on working with County, State, and local partners to reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfire and address resource concerns in rural communities and Wildfire Urban Interface areas in Solano County.
Restoration Program Manager: Solano RCD currently has one vacancy for a Restoration Program Manager. Solano RCD is looking for a dynamic individual with habitat restoration management experience and leadership skills to join our enthusiastic and passionate team to lead and manage our habitat restoration staff in implementing resource conservation projects across a variety of habitat types in Solano County.
Environmental Program Educator: Solano RCD is hiring an Environmental Program Educator for the 2026-27 school year! The Program Educator is responsible for facilitating a variety of water-focused environmental education programs provided to school-age youth throughout Solano County. The work of the Program Educator is to ignite curiosity and inspire children and teens to explore, understand, and care for their local watershed.
Responsibilities
- Conservation Project Manager: Work with County, State, and local partners to reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfire and address resource concerns in rural communities and Wildfire Urban Interface areas in Solano County.
- Restoration Program Manager: Lead and manage our habitat restoration staff in implementing resource conservation projects across a variety of habitat types in Solano County.
- Environmental Program Educator: Facilitate a variety of water-focused environmental education programs provided to school-age youth throughout Solano County.
Requirements
- Conservation Project Manager: Experience in wildfire risk reduction and resource management.
- Restoration Program Manager: Habitat restoration management experience and leadership skills.
- Environmental Program Educator: Experience in environmental education and a passion for engaging youth in environmental stewardship.
Qualifications
- Conservation Project Manager: Bachelor's degree in relevant field and at least 3 years of related experience.
- Restoration Program Manager: Bachelor's degree in relevant field and at least 5 years of related experience.
- Environmental Program Educator: Bachelor's degree in environmental science, education, or a related field.
