Software Tester Salesforce
Diversified Systems is searching for a Software Tester (Salesforce) to support Salesforce application testing, quality assurance, implementation, deployment, and software development lifecycle activities. Hybrid role requiring onsite work 3 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Assure requirements are defined and approved, perform code reviews, and ensure agency application development standards are met.
- Work with business area personnel to thoroughly define and approve requirements; perform impact analyses to identify interdependencies; assist with design reviews.
- Perform code reviews; serve as technical lead, as assigned.
- Create detailed test designs and test plans; create and review test data for performing test scenarios.
- Coordinate and conduct execution of unit and system test scripts; coordinate and conduct debugging efforts and defect tracking.
- Coordinate and support user acceptance testing; coordinate, conduct, and support software implementation and deployment tasks.
- Lead and perform the development, implementation, and monitoring of IT quality assurance standards and testing; perform performance, regression, and load testing.
- Write, review, and coordinate development of application-related training materials, software user guides, program and/or application source code documentation (e.g., use cases, in-line code comments), departmental standards, and systems development lifecycle activities.
- Review development lifecycle activities; assist higher-level IT staff with estimating workload requirements and other project planning activities.
- Design and perform system analysis; recommend application solutions; test and correct programs; assist IT staff with documentation.
- Perform software implementation tasks, including source control and deployment activities.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IT quality assurance standards and testing; develop and document appropriate standards and criteria for acceptable programming and systems development lifecycle activities.
- Develop software testing and automation procedures; perform analysis and design.
- Read, write, extract, and/or report from compounded files; work with business personnel to identify and document system software requirements.
- Define problems and develop potential solutions; perform post-production support for business applications, including routine maintenance, enhancements, and troubleshooting software production errors.
- Identify alternate courses of action; review and evaluate software development methodologies; complete software security scans and report on vulnerabilities.
- Conduct performance testing and benchmarking of software application response times; analyze and report on performance measures.
- Communicate with peers and others; collaborate proactively; guide performance of software development tasks per verbal instructions.
- Answer questions on technical topics to assist other technical staff in software development; obtain or impart information through discussions involving database, infrastructure, and/or application information.
- Lead discussions or formal meetings with technical and/or non-technical personnel on simple to moderate technical topics in support of software development.
- Summarize, in writing, information on technical topics involving database, infrastructure, and/or application information; convey recommendations or conclusions for decision-making purposes.
- Gather, interpret, and apply information from various sources to aid in software development duties, activities, and events.
- Answer questions and present informal mentorship opportunities to peers and/or lower-level staff via conversation, observation, or technical documentation.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentoring of testing team members.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience as a Software Tester specifically for Salesforce Applications.
- Ability to independently develop testing strategy, test plans, test cases, and proper system testing documentation for new Salesforce applications.
- Solid understanding of Agile, Iterative, and Traditional Software Development (SDLC) practices and standards as they relate to testing activities.
- Understanding and experience in the use of Azure DevOps for documentation, iterative development collaboration, task management, and system testing and reporting.
