About the role
This is a great opportunity for a student worker to gain experience as a test engineer for a medical device company in the Twin Cities area.
Responsibilities
- Review and investigate customer complaints and post-market reports, analyzing software, connectivity, and device-related issues
- Escalate potential product quality concerns to support root cause investigations
- Document and track software defects with detailed evidence, reproduction steps, logs, and expected versus actual results
- Create structured test documentation, including issue reports, reproduction steps, and integration findings
- Contribute to product quality in a regulated medical device environment by validating expected versus actual results using requirement specifications aligned with ISO 13485 practices
- Ensure product safety and reliability by performing end-user validation and functional testing on medical device software
- Identify and resolve software and hardware integration issues through debugging and root-cause analysis
- Collaborate with software engineers and cross-functional teams to diagnose defects and improve system performance

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
