Software Tester 2-3 (Associate/Mid-Level)

Responsibilities

• Execute and maintain test procedures and cases for new and existing products in accordance with approved test plans and applicable policies, including defect management and regression testing of software fixes.
• Participate in Requirements and Functional Specification reviews of new features and verify that requirements are reflected in the test specifications.
• Document, troubleshoot, and follow up on issues found during testing.
• Actively work with team members to improve processes, tools, and team effectiveness.
• Assist Development team(s) with replicating and debugging problems.

Requirements

• 2+ years of related professional experience and a Bachelor's of Science degree in a STEM-related course of study.
• Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance, granted by the US Government, which requires US citizenship.
• The government also uses 13 adjudicative guidelines to determine an individual's eligibility.
• Experience developing and maintaining software test documentation, and testing/validating software to ensure operational and functional requirements are met.
• Experience supporting test execution and system or test integration activities.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Must be willing to obtain relevant certifications as required by future client or contract needs.

Qualifications

• Preferred Active DoD Secret clearance granted by the U.S. Government.
• Experience supporting mission planning software or OFP (Operational Flight Program) SIL (System Integration Lab) testing.
• Experience using software configuration management tools (Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps) and writing/analyzing test procedures and software requirements.
• Prior experience with Windows 11, VirtualBox, PowerShell, SQL/SSMS, Postman, Notepad++, Event Viewer, Git/source control tools, and/or Visual Studio.
