Software Test Engineer

About the role
This position tests software for the F-15 Mission Planning systems in Maryland Heights, MO and/or Hazelwood, MO.
Responsibilities
- Execute and maintain test procedures and test cases for new and existing products
- Perform tests in accordance with approved test plans/procedures and applicable policies
- Report and manage defects
- Regression test software fixes for new and existing products
- Participate in Requirements and Functional Specifications reviews of new features and verify these requirements are reflected in the test specifications
- Document, troubleshoot, and follow up on issues found during testing
- Actively work with other team members to improve the process, tools, and effectiveness of the team
- Assist Development with replicating and debugging problems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining software test documentation
- 3+ years of experience testing and validating software to ensure it meets operational and functional requirements
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required; a clearance active in the past 24 months is considered active)
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a “U.S. Person” (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science with 5+ years of related work experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience OR
- 13+ years of related, relevant experience
- Experience with test or system integration
- Experience with software configuration management tools such as Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps
- Experience writing and analyzing test procedures and software requirements
- Automated test experience
- Understanding of Mission Planning Software usage
- Experience with OFP (Operational Flight Program) SIL (System Integration Lab) testing

Pay
Summary base pay range: $86,000 - $97,600, based on candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position. This role is for 1st shift and does not include visa sponsorship.
