About the role
This role supports a critical customer-facing application used by phone bankers for customer and account maintenance. The platform handles approximately 80% of call center volume, making reliability and stability extremely important.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance existing applications
- Deliver business-driven initiatives and new functionality
- Support authentication-related enhancements and requirements
- Work on initiatives related to account management and customer authentication
Current Initiatives
- Authentication enhancements
- Customer account access and maintenance improvements
- "Smart Start" initiative involving youth account management and permissions
Team Environment
- Customer Information View (CIV) team
- Scrum/Agile environment with regular ceremonies
- Team size: 4 team members in the U.S., 4 team members in India
- Collaborates closely with other engineers across locations
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of Full Stack Java development experience
- Comfortable working in a legacy technology environment
- Enjoys maintaining and enhancing existing applications, not just building new ones
- Can collaborate effectively with both U.S. and India-based team members
- Understands enterprise-scale, high-volume applications
- Can contribute to both production support and new business initiatives
