Software Test Automation Engineer

About the role

The Software Test Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing solutions to ensure high-quality software products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test automation scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, etc.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and design test cases.
• Execute automated tests to identify defects and track their resolution.
• Document test plans, procedures, and results for future reference.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the testing process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in software testing, preferably with automation.
• Proficiency in at least one automation testing tool (Selenium, JUnit, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems (Git).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with database testing and SQL.
• Good understanding of software architecture and system design.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Automation testing frameworks (Selenium, JUnit, etc.)
• Test management tools (Jira, TestRail)
• Programming languages (Java, Python, C#, etc.)
• Database testing (SQL, NoSQL)
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools
