Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Software Test Analyst 5 to support software testing and quality assurance activities for technology initiatives and ongoing application enhancements. The Software Test Analyst will work closely with IT teams, developers, business analysts, project teams, and business stakeholders to ensure applications and system changes meet defined requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Review requirements and identify gaps, inconsistencies, and potential quality risks.
• Document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to troubleshoot and validate fixes.
• Create comprehensive code coverage through automated test banks and repeatable automated regression test banks.
• Develop comprehensive testing metrics and measure test quality against requirements.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation using SQL queries as needed.
• Test system integrations, interfaces, APIs, and application workflows.
• Conduct regression testing following application changes and releases.
• Support deployment and production validation activities.
• Maintain testing documentation, test results, and defect tracking records.
• Provide regular status updates on testing progress, defects, risks, and outstanding issues.
• Participate in project meetings, requirements reviews, and release planning.
• Recommend process improvements to increase testing efficiency and application quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years of experience in IT quality assurance, software testing, or systems analysis.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and executing test cases.
• 5+ years of experience identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects.
• 5+ years of experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar testing/defect management platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.

Skills

• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SQL and database testing.

  • Experience testing web-based and enterprise applications.
