Software Technician
Job Summary
This role ensures accurate, auditable, and reliable data flow and transactions across the data systems related to the Corvallis and Singapore wafer fabs. The primary data systems involved are Workstream, SAP S4, Holmes, RDMA, and related platforms.
Responsibilities
Maintain end-to-end transaction integrity across Workstream, SAP S4, Holmes, and supporting systems.
Design, implement, and validate logic for transactions such as scrap/unscrap and inventory adjustments.
Identify, analyze, and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory, Workstream records, and S4 financial data, often under time-critical conditions.
Lead and support Holmes-Workstream synchronization testing, including wafer, panel, and device-level transaction scenarios.
Ensure material usage, cost center assignment, and quantity accounting are correctly executed for: Production and engineering materials, Indirect materials (e.g., gold wire, adhesives, flex), Non-standard and exception manufacturing flows.
Produce and validate calculations required for quarter-end corrections, audits, and fab financial reviews.
Provide direct support to manufacturing, inventory control, engineering, and finance teams.
Respond to urgent operational issues where incorrect system behavior could impact production, inventory valuation, or financial reporting.
Develop and maintain custom utilities and scripts that enable: Engineering-to-production lot conversions, Accurate cost and quantity tracking across systems, Automated reconciliation and scrap processing.
Document and explain complex system behavior to stakeholders to reduce operational risk and process errors.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing transactions, inventory accounting, and financial impacts of system behavior.
Experience working with SAP S4, Workstream, or similar enterprise manufacturing platforms.
Ability to analyze complex data flows and resolve issues spanning multiple systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience supporting fab or high-mix manufacturing environments.
Scripting or development experience (e.g., Perl, Python) used for system integration or utilities.
Experience supporting audits, quarter-end close, or financial reconciliation in manufacturing environments.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $73,800 to $100,350 USD per hour (applies to United States of America candidates only).
