Responsibilities
As a Software Quality Assurance Specialist/Applications Tester you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on IT Quality Analyst joining our team to have a positive impact on the mission.
- Documented experience meeting with stakeholders, analyzing requirements, user stories and related artifacts, and translating these into test plans and well-defined acceptance criteria.
- Participating in Agile software development process and adhering to all reporting requirements.
- Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.
- Develop and define major and minor characteristics of quality including quality metrics and scoring parameters and determine requisite quality control resources.
- Create and maintain databases of known test defects.
- Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
- Design, develop and use automated testing tools.
- Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness.
- Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
- Assist the Sponsor in the evaluation of software and associated documentation.
- Participate in formal and informal reviews to determine quality.
- Identify program deviance from standards and suggest modifications to ensure compliance.
- Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
- Install, maintain, and use software-testing programs.
- Investigate customer problems.
- Monitor program performance to ensure efficient and problem-free operations.
- Perform initial debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine breakdown source.
- Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to development team on software usability and functionality.
- Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommend possible solutions.
- Coordinate user or third-party testing.
- Conduct analyses of test results.
- Provide front-end/user interface testing.
- Anticipate end-user issues that technology might not be able to catch.
Requirements
- 10+ years of related experience
- BA/BS in Computer Science or IT related field
- Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI + Poly
- US Citizenship Required
- Experience working with GitHub, JIRA and Confluence

Qualifications
Highly Desired Skills And Demonstrated Experience: Other skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not mandatory to perform the work, include:
- Demonstrated experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Demonstrated experience performing DevOps practices with COTS
- Developing automated test scripts (Selenium or other)
- Java development skills to integrate testing components
- Demonstrated experience presenting or communicating technical designs, or implementations to non-technical audiences

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $158,855 - $214,921.
