Software Quality Assurance Engineer II/III

About the role

Monitor the development process and work products on projects through the entire life cycle
Work with and mentor engineers to ensure compliance to Textron’s development process
Review and approve engineering work products
Witness/monitor testing to ensure the product meets standards of quality and reliability
Review, monitor, and approve release activities
Perform QA oversight for assigned suppliers
Perform audits of engineering work products

Qualifications

• B.S. and/or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field with 2+ year’s experience (Level II)
• B.S. and/or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field with 5+ year’s experience (Level III)

Desired Skills/Experience

• Knowledge and practical experience with the SEI CMMI, ISO 9001 and AS9100
• IEEE STD 1061-1998 - Software Quality Metrics Methodology
• IEEE STD 730-2014 - Standard for Software Quality Assurance Processes
• RTCA DO-330 - Software Tool Qualification Considerations
• Software/Systems Quality engineering experience
• ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer
