About the role
The QA Engineer will play a crucial role in testing and ensuring the quality of Instrumental's manufacturing AI solutions. This includes hardware testing, end-to-end UX testing, and contributing to the development of robust cloud platforms, ML/AI pipelines, and edge applications.
Responsibilities
- Test hardware and end-to-end UX for web and mobile applications
- Guardian of quality end-to-end, ensuring customer satisfaction and alignment with project and business priorities
- Influence QA approaches and systems towards quality, contributing to the success of the company mission
- Work in a fast-paced, iterative environment, participating in the fulfillment of the company mission to eliminate half of the inefficiencies in manufacturing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, bringing a strong voice in product, UX, and engineering review sessions
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of QA experience with web and/or mobile applications
- Proven experience writing and executing test cases that align with customer values and project/business priorities
- Cares deeply about the end-to-end user experience and flags issues even when they're "to spec"
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Past experience working on cloud platforms and SaaS development lifecycles
- Experience with data-driven applications, including basic SQL and scripting capabilities
- Experience owning test automation and driving unit/integration/solution test automation coverage with development engineers
- Past experience testing data analysis and visualization software, with proficiency in writing statistical calculations
