About The Role

As a Software Quality Analyst II – AI Assistant Testing, you will make an impact by ensuring the quality, reliability, and customer experience of innovative software and hardware platforms. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering, product, and development teams to deliver high-quality customer-facing experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.

  • Validate end-to-end customer workflows, operating systems, hardware integrations, and user experiences across multiple platforms.

  • Test conversational and personal assistant experiences, including natural language interactions, speech recognition, contextual understanding, and real-world usage scenarios.

  • Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases, unexpected behaviors, and customer-impacting defects beyond documented requirements.

  • Analyze failures, troubleshoot complex issues, document defects with detailed reproduction steps, and collaborate with engineering teams to drive timely resolution.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Quality Analyst, Software Tester, or related Quality Engineering role.

  • Strong experience in test planning, test design, test authoring, and execution of both manual and automated test cases.

  • Hands-on experience performing black-box testing of software and hardware systems.

  • Proven ability to test client platforms, operating systems, applications, hardware devices, and integrated user experiences.

  • Experience performing exploratory testing and identifying defects not uncovered through scripted testing.

  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, defect analysis, and root-cause investigation skills.

  • Experience testing conversational interfaces, virtual assistants, speech recognition systems, or customer-facing AI-driven experiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to reproduce complex and intermittent customer-reported issues and provide clear diagnostic information.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Strong attention to detail, customer-first mindset, and passion for delivering high-quality products.

Qualifications

  • Experience validating natural language processing (NLP) or voice-enabled applications.

  • Knowledge of speech recognition technologies and conversational user experience testing.

  • Experience working in fast-paced Agile development environments.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to proactively identify quality risks and testing gaps.

  • Experience collaborating with globally distributed engineering teams.

Pay

The annual salary for this position is between $53,477 to $92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Schedule

This is an onsite position requiring 5 days per week in a client office in Cupertino, California. The working arrangements for this role are accurate as of the date of posting. This may change based on the project you're engaged in, as well as business and client requirements.
