Software Quality Analyst - AS400

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for supporting the ERP upgrade initiatives. The Software Quality Assurance Analyst will work as part of the testing team, providing software testing and quality assurance to support product excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/Business/Finance/Economics/Accounting
• Formal training in disciplines of Business Analysis and/or Project Management
• Minimum 5 years’ software quality assurance experience
• Extensive experience in manual testing of legacy applications (green screen applications)
• Strong understanding of the full lifecycle (SDLC) with Agile/Scrum experience
• Strong understanding of different types of Manual and Automated Testing
• Experience on supporting all phases of testing
• A good understanding of Web-based applications
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience and knowledge of Retail, Accounting, Supply Chain or Banking
• Familiarity with APIs and Postman
• Experience with testing tools (Selenium, Apache JMeter, IBM Rational Functional Tester, or similar)
• Detail-oriented and capable of working in an environment with changing priorities
• Takes initiative, owns their tasks, consistent with delivering and can make progress with little or no guidance

Skills

• Experience with IBM i (AS400) and ability to write basic SQL queries
• Experience with running macros and automated test scripts
• Experience with JIRA
• Documenting test cases/scripts in Test Rail or similar tool
