Software Product Owner (PO)

Avion Solutions Inc., a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Software Product Owner to support PAE Fires in Huntsville, AL.

About the role

This position is a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO).

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and validate network application development and updates/patches for the Network Application Team (NAT).
• Review Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms; guide the development team.
• Support the team in developing acceptance criteria for network tasks and stories; verify their completion.
• Work with the Cyber team to ensure a hardened cyber posture for the system network.
• Collaborate with program management to set priorities for capabilities and defects for each product increment and sprint.
• Perform technical briefings, demonstrations, and advisement to leadership; provide status reports, recommend courses of action, competing capabilities, performance assessments, risk evaluations, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics.
• Minimum of 10 years combined Government/DoD experience performing the essential duties listed above.
• Good understanding of networking, including IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, networking device configuration, and network status monitoring.
• Broad understanding of SNMPv3.
• Ability to work directly with Agile software developers to meet deadlines and program objectives.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JIRA/Confluence, Security+, and Linux.
• Agilist certification.
