Software Integration & Test Engineer - Level 2/3 (AHT)

About the role

This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance of the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future.

Responsibilities

• Work in an integrated product team (IPT) environment to design, develop, and implement test plans and procedures for software (SW) requirement verification & validation.
• Responsible for SW integration, requirement analysis, test planning and execution, SW performance analysis, troubleshooting and coordination for remediation.
• Write test procedure scripts in Perl, Python, Linux, and with automated software test tools.
• Conduct test walk throughs, and communicate plans, status and out-briefs with the IPT leads, team members, and the customer.

Requirements

• Basic Qualifications for Level 2: Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2 years of related experience, or a Master's degree in STEM with 3 years of related experience; Working knowledge of software integration and test principles and processes; Experience in Test Automation scripting and languages (Perl, Python, Linux, automated software test tools such as Eggplant, Robot Framework, and Selenium); Experience using Atlassian software development tool suite (Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, etc).
• Basic Qualifications for Level 3: Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5 years of related experience; OR a Master's degree in STEM with 3 years of related experience; OR, a PhD with 1 year of related experience; Working knowledge of software integration and test principles and processes; Experience in Test Automation scripting and languages (Perl, Python, Linux, automated software test tools such as Eggplant, Robot Framework, and Selenium); Experience using Atlassian software development tool suite (Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, etc).

Qualifications

• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in an Agile environment; Experience in Formal Qualifying Campaigns and requirements verification; Experience in interface testing; Space and Ground Domain knowledge; Ability to travel to field sites to support software installations; Be able to work independently and in a team environment and have excellent oral/written communication skills.
