You'll be joining our Aurora Software and Electronics/Payloads Department, which has approximately 200 Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Systems Administrators, Database Administrators, Network Engineers, and Engineering Leaders from entry-level to senior chief engineers and architects, as well as Product Owners and Scrum Masters. This engineering organization supports numerous programs across Divisions and Business Units of the Space Sector. Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
- Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
- Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
- Prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
- Ensures software standards are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science (or related field) with relevant experience:
- Level 2: 2+ years of experience; 0+ years with a Master's.
- Level 3: 5+ years of experience; 3+ years with a Master's.
- Experience with Web Development and/or C, C++, Java, Python, or Scripting languages.
- Experience with RedHat Linux environment.
- Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, etc.) and development using Agile methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Adjudicated Full-Scope (FS) or Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph.
- STEM degree.
- Experience with automated testing.
- Excellent technical writing and team-building skills.
- Experience with Command and Control systems.
Pay
- Primary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 – $137,600.00
- Secondary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 – $171,000.00
The above salary ranges represent general guidelines. Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions when determining base salary offers. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
