Software Engineering - Senior Software Engineer 134-2011

About the role

The Sr. Software Engineer will build out the next generation of our platform. You are expected to work independently and within teams, leading the development of software features. Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly, have a consistent track record of delivery, and excellent software engineering skills. You will mentor other team members and help identify process improvements for the team.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, define solutions, and deliver quality software through all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Evaluate proposed solutions and technical approaches for feasibility, weighing requirements, constraints, and long-term maintainability.
• Lead independently and complete all assigned tasks correctly and efficiently.
• Work with Architects on technical designs.
• Ensure code functions according to specifications and is completed within the allotted time frame with high quality.
• Provide direction to other team members by answering questions and performing code reviews.
• Improve coding standards and product lines by suggesting new ideas and methods.
• Collaborate effectively with others in and out of the scrum team.
• Ensure team goals are met by reporting any issues that hinder productivity or stability of the product.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years as a Software Engineer.
• Successful completion of Health Care Sanctions background check.

Skills

• Proficient in C# and .NET development.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL.
• Experience in JavaScript frameworks such as Angular.
• Experience designing and integrating APIs.
• Knowledge of high availability techniques in a database or applicable software environment.
• Experience with Azure cloud services.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work within strict deadlines.
• Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies.
