Software Engineering Manager - Graphical User Interface (GUI)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of GUI software engineers.
• Distribute operations: Coordinate and align engineering efforts across globally distributed engineering teams.
• Drive the architecture, design, and execution of intuitive, high-performance GUI applications, working with hardware and software development teams across the company.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Partner closely with product management, applications engineering, and core EDA backend teams to deliver seamless workflows.

Qualifications

• Education: BS or MS in Electrical Engineering. A PhD is highly preferred.
• Management Experience: 5+ years' proven track record of leading, mentoring, and managing software engineering teams.
• Global Leadership: Direct experience managing and collaborating with distributed or remote teams.
• EDA Background: 10+ years' experience in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software development. Proven experience with developing highly interactive EDA tools.
• Design Flows: Strong understanding of hardware description languages, synthesis, place-and-route, and ASIC/FPGA design methodologies.
• Technical Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with C++, Qt, Python, Tcl, and Java.

Advanced Qualifications

• Advanced Degree: PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on EDA tool development or related fields.
• Productivity Innovation: Demonstrated success in applying innovative, data-driven approaches to optimize complex user workflows.
