About the role
Healthgrades is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and support engineering teams in scaling and supporting the company's mission to help Americans find the right care.
Responsibilities
- Ensure incremental value delivery and high-quality standards for teams managed.
- Support strategic work with Product and Design organization.
- Develop and retain diverse top talent.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, goal setting, and feedback conversations with engineers.
- Improve inclusion and belonging on your team and within the organization.
- Maintain high levels of transparency, efficiency, and collaboration in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Drive broader organizational development and cross-cutting efforts with the engineering management team.
- Optimize the performance, scalability, security, and SEO of applications.
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of experience building and leading software development teams.
- Hiring and supporting engineers directly reporting to you.
- Experience with modern software engineering practices and agile/lean values.
- Experience integrating AI/LLM-based tools into engineering workflows.
- Experience working with distributed teams.
Qualifications
- Strong technical expertise in system development, including reusable, scalable code.
- Experience with remote work and distributed teams.
- Experience with AI/LLM-based tools in engineering workflows.
- Knowledge of modern software engineering practices and agile/lean values.
