Position Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, tests, and maintains embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and translates customer requirements into initial design of software products.
  • Develops interface definitions.
  • Performs unit and integration testing.
  • Participates in peer reviews.
  • Supports software system integration and test.
  • Create software documentation

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience)

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship
  • 1+ years of experience in C++, Python, and C#
  • 1+ years of experience with Linux development
  • 1+ years of experience git or similar version control system
  • 1+ years of experience in software architecture development and open architectures
  • 1+ years with network architectures and software application that communicate through TCP/UDP based networks

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Associate Level / Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 2+ years of related work experience
  • Or Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of directly related work experience
  • Or 10+ years of related, relevant experience
  • Experienced Level / Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience
  • Or Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience
  • Or 13+ years of related, relevant experience
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
  • Knowledge of host environments, including processors, operating systems and networks
  • Knowledge of software architecture and design methodologies
  • Knowledge of software development processes in compliance with established internal and industry standards, guidelines, and best practices in the development, testing, and deployment of software
  • Knowledge of general and software development and testing tools, capability and usage
  • Knowledge of domains, characteristics, constraints and products that require software and influence architecture, requirements, interfaces, designs, and integration/test approaches
  • Knowledge of implementation, validation, and verification processes, practices, and guidelines to ensure software development quality, performance, and safety
