Software Engineer - US Remote

Responsibilities

• Write highly performant, well-structured, and well-tested code.
• Enhance and maintain web services and background workers as part of an Agile team.
• Collaborate on the design and development of each service under your responsibility.
• Lead the development and maintenance of several Python and C# API services that back client facing UI services.
• Solve complex problems as part of a team.
• Implement best practices and identify and communicate technical debt and risk.
• Mentor junior members on the team.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with Python and Django.
• 2+ years of experience with C#, the .NET Framework, and/or .NET Core.
• 1+ years ASP.NET Web API.
• Expert level knowledge of RESTful Web API patterns.
• Expert level knowledge in .NET data access frameworks (ADO.NET, Dapper, EF, etc).
• Advanced level knowledge of MSSQL and structuring data for query optimization.
• Strong Unit and Integration Testing techniques.
• Strong understanding of the software development process.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Some experience with build and deploy tools (Jenkins, GitLab).
• Experience in Git.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent education.
• Experience reverse engineering legacy Python or .NET services and complex MSSQL stored procedures and functions.
• Experience with ASP.NET Core, .NET 5, or .NET 6.
• Some experience with RabbitMQ, New Relic, Cloud (AWS, Azure, or other).
• Comfortable working with collaboration tools such as Slack, JIRA, Confluence.

• Firm leadership skills, including communication of technical risk and debt.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and the ability to perform under tight deadlines.

Pay

The salary range begins at $120K-140K USD, with final compensation structured individually based on scope and experience.
