Software Engineer - TS/SCI with Polygraph
About the role
A Software Engineer (SME) is needed to support Government activities at Chantilly, VA. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing application frontend and/or backend frameworks and technologies. Responsibilities include working closely with the development team to build reusable UI components, optimizing UI performance, and ensuring accessibility.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage application frontend and/or backend frameworks and technologies
- Work closely with the development team to build reusable UI components
- Optimize UI performance and ensure accessibility
- Perform day-to-day technical oversight of internal roadmap
- Develop long-term and strategic objectives to ensure end user requirements are satisfied
- Participate in horizontal integration planning and interface with other functional areas
- Ensure technical solutions and schedules are implemented in a timely manner
- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities including information systems, systems analysis
- Bring technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT
Requirements
- Demonstrated hands-on experience programming web and client/server applications using Java, Typescript/JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with upgrading Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA especially from much older versions to newer versions
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with frontend frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with database design and querying (SQL, Oracle)
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with version control such as Git (GitHub, Gitlab, etc.)
- Demonstrated hands-on experience building APIs and services using REST
- Experience working in Agile development environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
- 15+ years of related experience
- US Citizenship Required

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $185,057 - $250,371. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
