About the role

The Department of Technology & Information (DTI) seeks a skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. DTI is Delaware’s central IT organization dedicated to providing technology services and collaborative solutions for the state while enhancing the lives of Delawareans through advanced technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate user requests for new programs, modifications, and system integrations.
  • Develop software according to approved specifications, test, and debug programs.
  • Create system and user documentation.
  • Maintain ongoing program and system performance.
  • Provide training or mentorship to less experienced team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ technical experience in web-based solutions development.
  • Minimum 3 years’ IT experience in software development, report creation, and application support.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with .NET technologies, including C#.NET 4.0 or higher and .NET Core C#.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with SCRUM framework, practices, and Agile SDLC.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Strong skills in design, development, and testing using Microsoft .NET framework.
  • Experience with SQL Server 2013 or higher and/or Oracle 13g or higher.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications commensurate with Beginner to Intermediate technical capabilities.
