Software Engineer - Test Systems
About the role
Moog is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Test Systems Engineering Team, where you'll develop and deploy automated test solutions used to validate cutting-edge flight control actuation systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop software for automated aerospace test systems using tools such as LabVIEW, Python, C, and Simulink
- Design, integrate, troubleshoot, and validate test equipment used to verify flight control actuation systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create advanced test systems that ensure the performance, reliability, and safety of critical aerospace products
- Support the build and integration of test equipment, working alongside technicians and assembly teams
- Manage software configuration and version control throughout development and deployment
- Create and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials
- Deliver customer-ready test systems that meet performance, quality, and compliance requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- Experience programming in one or more of the following: LabVIEW, Python, C/C++, and/or Simulink
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts across engineering teams
- Self-motivated with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic engineering environment
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automated test equipment, controls systems, data acquisition, or system integration
- Exposure to aerospace, defense, manufacturing, robotics, or industrial automation environments
- Experience supporting hardware and software integration efforts
