Software Engineer Stf - E4
Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
- Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
- Ensure software standards are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other engineering disciplines, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in software development using programming or scripting languages such as C#, JavaScript, Java, or Python.
- Software design, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- This position requires an Active DOD Security Clearance to begin employment, at a minimum level of: Top Secret with active SCI.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment, using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- US citizenship is required (no clearance is required to start; unclassified work is available until the clearance is obtained).

Desired Skills
- Full development lifecycle experience.
- Experience with the frameworks .NET Core and Angular.
- Experience with Horizon software application providing command and control services for satellites, antennas, and ground hardware assets.
- Experience working as a member of an Agile Scrum or Kanban team.
- Experience with databases (PostgreSQL & Redis).
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD - Deployment pipelines, automated build, and/or configuration tools.
- Experience with cloud-native development (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
- Familiarity with C2 software applications for satellites, antennas, and ground hardware assets.
- Experience with DevSecOps.
- Experience with Git, JIRA, Confluence.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in a collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with the Space Domain.
- Experience producing quality documentation.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $135,700.00 - $251,900.00
