Software Engineer - Servicenow
Build high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design. Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications. Support and/or install software applications. Participate in the testing process through test review, analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software.
Responsibilities
- Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
- Document and demonstrate solutions; develop flow charts, layouts, and documentation.
- Determine feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
- Understand business needs and create tools to manage them.
- Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
- Participate in educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain personal networks; participate in professional organizations.
- Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and issues while protecting IT assets by keeping information confidential.
- Improve applications by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes.
- Define applications and their interfaces, allocate responsibilities to applications, understand solution deployment, and communicate requirements for interactions with solution context.
- Define Nonfunctional Requirements (NFRs).
- Understand multiple architectures and apply them to solutions; understand programming and testing standards; understand industry standards for traditional and agile development.
- Develop, configure, test, deploy, and support solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
- Build and enhance ServiceNow components such as forms, record producers, Flow Designer flows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, notifications, reports, dashboards, and integrations.
- Support ServiceNow capabilities used across Business Service Delivery, including HR, Finance, Legal, and other enterprise functions.
- Translate business requirements and user stories into scalable, secure, and maintainable ServiceNow solutions.
- Troubleshoot platform defects, production incidents, access issues, integration failures, and data-related problems.
- Participate in ServiceNow upgrades, regression testing, release activities, code reviews, and production validation.
- Develop and support integrations using REST APIs, SOAP services, IntegrationHub, middleware, web services, and file-based interfaces.
- Support the technical administration and integration of Qualtrics and related Experience Management capabilities.
- Assist with Qualtrics integrations, dashboards, and platform troubleshooting.
- Support enterprise Translation Services technologies.
- Assist with integrations involving translation service providers, enterprise applications, APIs, file exchanges, and content-management platforms.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, test evidence, deployment instructions, support procedures, and knowledge articles.
- Identify opportunities to improve user experience, increase automation, simplify processes, and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, architects, cybersecurity teams, developers, vendors, and business stakeholders in a global Agile environment.

Requirements
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Experience working as a software engineer such as in a temporary student employment, intern, co-op, or other extracurricular team activities is preferred and includes working in an Agile environment and demonstrating knowledge in fundamental IT technical skill sets and ability to take a solution from scoping requirements through actual launch of the solution.
Job Details
Entry Level Full Time, Exempt position designed for external candidates within 2 years of completing their highest level of degree (Bachelor, Master, PhD, MBA, or JD) from an accredited U.S. college/university, and currently reside within the continental U.S.
F-1 visa students must have approved Curricular Practical Training (CPT) or Occupational Practical Training (OPT) before their Early Career assignment begins. CPT/OPT must relate to their degree and be authorized by their university.
Required Work Location: Onsite with Flexibility.

Minimum Salary: $108,720
Maximum Salary: $132,880
