Software Engineer – Senior - CCSA

About the role

Nemean Solutions, headquartered in Sierra Vista, AZ, is a certified SBA 8(a) Native Hawaiian Organization (NHO) and veteran‑operated company providing advanced Military Intelligence, Enterprise and Cloud IT services, Cybersecurity, Special Operations Forces (SOF) Exercise and Training, and niche Program Support and Professional Services to Federal and State Agencies supporting the US Government Defense, Intelligence and Aerospace sectors. The Software Engineer will independently design and engineer new software products or major enhancements to existing software in support of the US Army Command and Control Support Agency (CCSA) Technical Services Division Support.

Responsibilities

• Work independently designing and engineering software products or major enhancements to existing software.
• May lead a team in the design of highly complex software systems.
• Acts as the highest‑level technical expert, addressing problems of systems integrations, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
• Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
• Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs.
• Conduct code review of subordinate developers and peers.
• Coordinates with Cybersecurity team members to implement and maintain a SSDLC with an understanding of NIST SP 800‑63 RMF and the DoD implementation of RMF.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
• Eight (8) years of experience in software design, engineering, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, or problem diagnosis and resolution.
• Expert level knowledge in the use of Azure DevOps, Visual Studio 2019 or later, and experience with languages including C#, .NET, SQL, jQuery, JavaScript, amongst others.
• Current Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level II certification with Security X (formerly CASP), CISSP, or CISM, or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Proficiency in software development, security, and operations (DevSecOps) methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, MSFT Power Platform).
• Ability to work independently designing and engineering new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
• Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications programming activities.
• Top Secret clearance required.

$150,000 and above

Schedule

Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established by the Government customer. Travel will be required within the NCR during the performance of this contract to attend meetings, conferences, and training. If designated a member of the Emergency Response Group, travel will be required to relocate to an alternate site not to exceed 150‑mile radius of the primary work location if the ERG is activated.
