Software Engineer - Python / AWS (Top Secret Clearance Required)

Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, debug, and maintain software artifacts in Python in support of NGA’s GEOINT mission.
  • Write validation tests against existing baselines to protect code integrity during Agile development.
  • Support unit testing and software quality efforts.
  • Work across cloud and service-oriented environments including web services and related technologies.
  • Use GitLab for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and resource management.
  • Package and run applications with Docker.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams using Jira and Confluence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI.
  • Strong Python development experience.
  • Experience with software development or software integration in cloud, SOA, or web-services environments.
  • Experience with GitLab, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Experience with web technologies and protocols such as web servers, HTTP, and SSL.
  • Familiarity with AWS and cloud technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new technologies.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting NGAS.
  • Strong AWS/cloud experience.
  • AWS or Python certification.
