Software Engineer (Next Gen)

About the role

The Next Gen team at Neuralink is developing the next generation of brain-computer interfaces. We are laying the groundwork for intuitive, high-dimensional, and bidirectional interfaces between brains and machines, with the goal of helping people challenged by a variety of neurological disorders and conditions.

Responsibilities

• Write, test and deploy software that interacts with our neural interfaces and other data acquisition systems to decode and modulate brain activity
• Deploy your core technical and creative skills to tackle a wide range of problems
• Design user experiences centered around neural control of devices
• Mentor others in achieving engineering excellence through code review, design review, and technical presentations
• Present results in a collaborative setting
• Work with neuroengineers and animal training specialists to support research sessions

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in software development
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Experience with machine learning and neural network algorithms
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience
